What is it?Access to Nonsuch Island is very exclusive. The reason for this is for means of conservation. David Wingate, the main conservationist of this island, has devoted his life to conserving it. He went into the studies of Zoology at Cornell University because of his interest in the cahow bird. He helped re-discover this specie of birds and then after studying, he went to Bermuda to become the Conservation Officer. The reason he got this position was due to his persistence in having this position. His leading efforts in "The Living Museum" that is Nonsuch Island is meant to showcase what Bermuda may have looked like before human habitation. If you would like to get onto Nonsuch, you have to go with a special group due to public limitations. More on Nonsuch here.
